This connection features a wide-flange beam and an angle brace framing into a wide-flange column. A three-eighths inch by ten inch by one foot plate serves as a gusset for the angle brace, which is field-welded with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. The beam connects to the column using a three-eighths inch by four inch by nine inch plate, welded to the beam web on three sides with a one-quarter inch fillet weld. The gusset plate is welded to the column flange with a one-quarter inch fillet weld. The beam is positioned ten inches below the work point, with the beam centerline and column orientation determined by the project plans.
