Concrete shear walls intersect at a T-junction with boundary plates welded via complete joint penetration welds typically five-sixteenths of an inch in size. Intermittent alignment plates provided by the contractor join the intersecting walls at the splice locations. Boundary plates feature six-inch diameter concrete flow holes spaced at twenty-four inches on center.
