A structural steel beam supports a concrete floor slab over a steel deck. A continuous bent plate is anchored at the slab edge near the face of the cladding, maintaining three-quarters of an inch clearance. Continuous reinforcing bars include number four and number five bars with standard hooks rotated ninety degrees to fit within the slab depth. Dimension "A" and dimension "B" are sized per plan, maintaining a two-inch minimum bearing distance from the beam centerline.
