Framing configuration for an opening in a non-bearing cold-formed steel stud wall. The assembly consists of minimum 18-gauge steel tracks at the top and bottom, fastened with number 12 self-tapping metal screws spaced at six inches on center typical. Two minimum 18-gauge steel studs are positioned to form the header or sill condition, secured with number 12 self-tapping metal screws at six inches on center on each side. Infill steel studs are sized per plan or framing elevation and tied into the track assembly.
