A utility pipe trench is located adjacent to a concrete foundation wall and footing while maintaining a minimum horizontal separation of one foot six inches. The bottom of the trench follows a one-to-two slope limitation extending down and away from the footing bottom. No excavation is permitted below the established line unless directed by the soils engineer. The trench must be positioned to prevent undermining of the adjacent structural footing.
