Cold-formed steel solid blocking is installed between joists, rafters, or studs using track sections attached with clip angles and self-tapping screws. The blocking is secured to the framing members using four number 10 screws through notched and bent track ends or via clip angles fastened with two number 10 screws on each leg. Clip angles and blocking are gauged to match the supporting framing up to 18 gauge maximum. Additional blocking configurations show installations without clips where direct track attachment is utilized.
