Two Grade 50 steel plates measuring one and one-quarter inches thick form a bolted moment splice across the column joint with complete joint penetration welds. Stiffener plates extend to the end of the flange plates and are welded with complete joint penetration welds matching the beam flange thickness. A connecting beam frames into the column with connections detailed per structural drawings. Additional typical beam conditions and moment connection details are referenced to the roof framing plan.
