Vertical reinforcing dowels extend from the level below, matched in size and spacing to the reinforcement above, with hooked vertical bars terminating at the top of the wall. A number four tie matches the vertical reinforcing spacing at the slab location. The offset detail requires a one and one-half inch minimum and four inch maximum dimension.
