Edge conditions occur at a structural steel column for both parallel and perpendicular web orientations relative to the slab edge. An L2x2x3/16 angle is positioned at each flange with an edge form installed per Table K.1. The closure plate is held back up to a half-inch maximum to clear welds, with fillet welds specified at the connections.
