A steel column connects to a concrete retaining wall or concrete beam using a three-quarter-inch embed plate and steel plate detailed per plan. Four three-quarter-inch diameter headed anchors with eight-inch embedment secure the assembly into the concrete element. The column aligns with the center line of the column and is welded to the base plate.
