This loading diagram defines the supplemental point load requirements for steel trusses based on their location within the building. For warehouse areas, an additional point load of 1000 pounds must be applied at any joint that induces maximum stress in the truss, in addition to standard roof loads. For office areas, an additional point load of 2000 pounds must be applied at any joint that induces maximum stress in the truss, in addition to standard roof and floor loads. The horizontal force is specified as 97.0 kips per Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) criteria. Girder dimensions are to be verified per the manufacturer's drawings.
