A steel column bears on a steel base plate resting on one and one-half inches of non-shrink grout atop a concrete pier. The concrete pier measures one foot eight inches square and is reinforced with eight number six vertical bars and number three ties at six inches on center. Three sets of ties at two inches on center surround the anchor bolts. The pier sits on a concrete footing with three inches minimum concrete cover. A concrete slab on grade surrounds the base with a concrete pour back.
