A buckling-restrained brace connects with bolts to a gusset plate welded to a W12 floor beam and W8 column. One-half-inch thick stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the column and beam web using five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A complete joint penetration weld secures the connection where required, and floor sheathing is detailed above the beam flange.
