Diagonal reinforcing trim bars are placed at re-entrant corners in a concrete slab to control cracking from stress concentrations. Two number five bars measuring seven feet long are placed top and bottom typically unless noted otherwise. Two additional number five bars measuring six feet long are positioned diagonally across the corner intersection at six inches typical spacing.
