This connection features a wide-flange beam supported by a hollow structural section column. The beam rests on a cap plate, which is sized per typical detail. An end stiffener plate is installed on both sides of the beam web at the support, or alternatively, a full-length connection plate is used as specified per the referenced structural detail. The assembly is secured with a bolted connection through the beam bottom flange and the column cap plate.
