Footings shall bear on engineered structural fill extending down to native soils per plan and soils report, with a width equal to depth. A free draining granular base supports the slab-on-grade, which includes a vapor barrier as required by the soils report. Finish grade slopes away from the structure with a six-inch minimum clearance below the top of the foundation wall. Backfill is placed against the foundation wall per earthwork notes.
