This structural section details a concrete elevator pit and sump bearing on undisturbed soil. The pit walls and slab are reinforced with number four reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center each way typically. A galvanized four-by-four-by-one-half-inch angle, one foot eleven inches long, is anchored to the concrete using two one-half-inch-diameter by three-and-one-half-inch stainless steel concrete screws at one foot six inches on center typical each side. A one-and-one-half-inch galvanized steel bar grating measuring two feet by two feet rests on the supporting angle.
