A circular floor drain or cleanout penetrates a slab on grade, wrapped in a one-inch thick flexible closed cell foam plank and a vapor retarder against the foam face. Two number three hooked reinforcing bars are placed at the top and bottom on each side with specified clearances. A one-inch typical clearance is maintained around the penetration within a one-foot six-inch typical dimension. A note requires that the chosen cleanouts and drains are appropriate for areas subject to lift truck traffic.
