A wide-flange steel beam frames into an existing concrete wall using a half-inch by eleven-inch by one foot six inch steel plate secured with four three-quarter-inch diameter Hilti HIT RE500 epoxy bolts having six inches of embedment. A concrete slab on metal deck bears over the beam, tied into the existing concrete wall with number three reinforcing bars at sixteen inches on center in both directions, epoxy-anchored four inches deep into the existing concrete.
