A tee intersection of wood stud walls anchors to a base plate. A hold-down device at the base of the intersecting wall secures with a bolt through the bottom plate. Compression studs adjacent to the hold-down manage vertical loads. The assembly fastens to the floor structure with 16d-short nails at 12 inches on center. A 2x8 member at the full height of the stud provides additional support at the intersection.
