A concrete slab-on-grade step incorporates a two-inch vertical drop. The reinforced concrete slab contains continuous steel reinforcing bars and bears on a compacted aggregate base course placed over a prepared subgrade. A dimension of two feet defines the horizontal extent of the upper slab tier adjacent to the step.
