An embed plate measuring three-eighths by fourteen by eighteen inches with four three-quarter-inch diameter by four-inch headed studs is cast into the underside of the post-tensioned concrete slab or beam. A bond beam masonry wall terminates below the slab with a typical top-of-wall gap. An L4x3x5/16 long leg vertical angle, one foot long each side, connects the masonry wall to the embedded plate using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. At the contractor's option, this detail may also be used at mild reinforced concrete slabs or beams.
