A reinforced concrete slab over metal deck bears on structural steel floor framing near stud wall assemblies with edge forms, closure plates, and continuous rebar reinforcement. Edge conditions include a sixteen-gauge edge form with sheet metal screws at each flute, twenty-gauge end closures, and bent plate configurations depending on deck orientation relative to the slab edge. Additional continuous number four rebar is placed at twelve-inch spacings and bent one hundred eighty degrees around number four bars. Minimum clearances of one inch for beams without fireproofing and two inches for beams with fireproofing are maintained at the interior face of finish.
