Precast concrete panels bear on an L4 x 4 x 1/4 angle on each side supported by a hollow structural section member, leaving a one and one-quarter inch gap between panels. Each panel is embedded with an L8 x 4 x 7/16 by two-foot-four-inch angle anchored into the concrete casting face. Three-quarter by six-inch Nelson stud anchors secure the assembly, with the bolt head tack-welded to the embed. Number four hairpins are installed tightly to the Nelson stud anchors within the concrete panels.
