A cold-formed steel vertical soffit drop framing assembly anchors to an overhead concrete-filled metal deck using a top track and a 362SFS144-30EQD brace spaced at forty-eight inches on center. The top track secures to the deck with two quarter-inch diameter Hilti Kwik Hus screw anchors possessing a two-and-a-half-inch nominal embedment. A Scafco AS1200 clip with four number eight sheet metal screws, or alternatively a 54-mil brake shape angle, stabilizes the diagonal brace connection. Vertical studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center intersect a continuous bottom track fixed with number eight sheet metal screws at each side and stud. A glass partition by others connects below with a three-quarter-inch vertical deflection gap while gypsum board assemblies and Z-furring attach to the framing per project specifications.
