Reinforcement requirements at a cantilevered concrete slab. One number four top and bottom reinforcing bar is added typically, measuring four feet in length. The cantilever extension is limited to a maximum of two feet. Additional reinforcement for cantilevers exceeding two feet must be verified per architectural and structural plans.
