A reinforced concrete slab-on-grade edge features an integral curb where required, supported on compacted subgrade. The slab thickness and edge thickening are reinforced with continuous number four bars and number four bars spaced at eighteen inches on center with class A laps unless noted otherwise. A three-inch concrete clearance is maintained at the bottom and side of the thickened edge, and finish grade or paving meets the six-inch curb dimension where applicable.
