Damper support framing occurs at a concrete slab edge supported by a structural steel beam and hollow structural section column. A concrete slab on metal deck features a four inch minimum slope and additional number four reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center with hooked U-bars. An eight by eight by three-eighths inch embedded plate with four three-quarter inch studs anchors the assembly at the slab edge. A one inch gap separates the slab edge from the vertical metal studs and damper assembly below.
