A reinforced masonry wall corner utilizes six-inch or eight-inch concrete masonry units. Two number five vertical reinforcing bars are placed in the core minimum with open end blocks to accommodate the steel. Standard ninety-degree hooks and alternate bar arrangements are detailed at the corner intersection. The masonry shell is specified to be broken for the proper flow of grout.
