A slotted top track matches the stud gauge and anchors to a concrete-topped metal deck above. Two rows of number ten sheet metal screws at sixteen inches on center, staggered, secure the track through the transfer plate matching the stud gauge or zero point one four three inch diameter by three quarter inch powder-actuated fasteners at twelve inches on center staggered to the concrete. The first framing screw is located one inch below the track, and drywall or finishes remain unattached to the slip track.
