A wood post bears on a concrete slab and is secured by a Simpson PB or CB post base connector, with an alternate Simpson AB anchor utilizing an epoxy anchor with four inches of embedment. The concrete assembly consists of a slab over a grade beam reinforced with two continuous number four rebars at the top and bottom with three inches of clear cover.
