A roof framing brace connection runs parallel to the roof deck span. The assembly utilizes an L3 x 3 x 1/4 angle brace welded to a 1/4 inch by 4 inch by 4 inch gusset plate, which is typically attached to the supporting wide-flange beam sized per plan. An L4 x 4 x 1/4 angle provides edge support at the roof deck. Fillet welds of 3/16 inch size secure the connection elements. Dual angles (2) L3 x 3 x 1/4 are specified when the brace length equals or exceeds six feet.
