This assembly details a splice for cold-formed steel track members. A stud block, sized to match the thickness of the track, is inserted into the track cavity at the joint. The track segments are secured to the stud block using two number 10 screws on each side of the track, spaced at 6 inches on center across the splice. The steel track and steel studs are sized per the project schedule, elevations, or structural notes.
