A metal deck connects to a concrete wall via a continuous 3/8-inch by 4-inch embed plate welded to a 3-inch by 3-inch by 3/8-inch steel angle. The embed plate is anchored into the 5-inch thick concrete wall using 3/4-inch diameter headed studs spaced at 12 inches on center. The metal deck bears on the angle and is secured with 1/2-inch diameter puddle welds at 6 inches on center, supplemented by 3/16-inch fillet welds.
