This assembly features a TJI joist supported by a continuous 1-3/4 inch Laminated Strand Lumber ledger, which is fastened to the wall studs with six 16d-short nails per stud and four 16d-short nails per blocking. The joist is secured with an ITS2.37/16 hanger and four 10d nails into the flat 2x blocking. A flat 2x4 by 1 foot 6 inch member is added at each H2.5A connector if the joist does not align with the wall studs. The wall studs extend continuously to the top of the parapet, with H2.5A hurricane ties installed at 48 inches on center to provide lateral restraint.
