A structural steel beam supports a composite concrete floor slab on metal deck, featuring a slab edge detail with precast attachment and glazing support above. An embedded steel plate measuring 1/2 inch by 9 inches by 9 inches includes two 5/8-inch diameter by 4-1/2 inch long headed studs spaced at 6 inches on center. A number 4 hairpin reinforcing bar is placed at the headed studs within the concrete slab. A quarter-inch fillet weld connects the plate assembly. Precast attachment and glazing support members are positioned per manufacturer requirements and referenced details.
