A W 200x22 beam frames into an HSS 102x102x8.0 column with a bolted connection designed to suit connection forces. The beam flange is coped as required, and the top of the column is capped with a six-millimeter cap plate. An L76x76x6.4 angle brace connects to a gusset plate designed by the connection engineer, framing into the column and beam assembly. Steel bar grating of type 30-102 (32x3.2) serrated galvanized finish sits on top of the structural steel framing.
