An exterior wall assembly featuring a hollow structural section girt supported above a concrete masonry unit wall. A continuous one-quarter-inch by nine-inch steel plate bears on the masonry wall below the girt. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld secures the structural steel girt assembly. Exterior wall panels and seismic slip joints are coordinated per architectural drawings.
