An HSS6x4x3/8 structural steel member frames below a metal deck, with a bracing angle attached as shown on plan. A vertical HSS hanger connects to the framing using a three-eighths-inch cap plate welded with a five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld on three sides top and bottom. The bottom of the hanger utilizes a three-eighths-inch cap plate with a three-sixteenths-inch roll-around fillet weld. Additional HSS framing members are tied into the assembly per the structural plans.
