Typical shear wall reinforcement utilizes ASTM A615 Grade 60 steel for standard bars and ASTM A706 Grade 80 steel for all boundary reinforcement. The wall section details confinement reinforcement spacing with four-inch and six-inch typical spacings at the boundary elements and wall piers. Transverse ties and longitudinal bars are arranged to provide ductility and shear resistance.
