Two steel framing configurations join incoming beams to a supporting girder web using typical shear tabs and structural tee sections. When the beam depth difference exceeds one inch, a WT section matches the flange width of the beam and connects with a quarter-inch fillet weld, maintaining a two-foot clearance dimension. When the beam depth difference is less than one inch, standard shear tabs and connection plates attach directly to the supporting girder web. Bolt spacing and edge distances follow AISC specifications, and weld backup plates are omitted for clarity. The assembly accommodates framing conditions where intersecting beams meet at a common girder support.
