A hollow structural section beam connects to a concrete tilt-up panel via a continuous 3" x 3" x 1/4" angle. The angle is welded to the hollow structural section beam with a 1/4" fillet weld at 3" to 12" spacing. The angle is also welded to a 3/4" x 12" x 1'-0" embedded plate with a 1/4" fillet weld. The embedded plate is anchored into the concrete panel using four 3/4" diameter x 5" long heavy stud anchors spaced at 24" on center. The hollow structural section beam is also secured to the panel with 1/4" fillet welds at the top and bottom.
