This connection details a buckling-restrained brace interface framing into a steel beam and hollow structural section truss column. A gusset plate connects the diagonal braces via bolted connections, with the gusset and attachment designed by the brace supplier. One-half-inch beam web stiffeners are welded to each side of the beam web with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides. Additional web stiffeners are provided as required by the brace supplier. The steel beam ties back to an HSS truss column welded with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The roof deck is omitted for clarity.
