A hollow structural section post is welded to a three-quarter-inch by six-inch by ten-inch plate, which connects to an HSS building column with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. An HSS8x4x1/2 stub projects outward with a maximum projection of twelve inches, welded to the plate with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The web of the channel stringer fastens to the assembly. The web of the landing channel ties into the connection per plan.
