A concrete slab over metal deck bears on a structural steel beam with a minimum two-inch bearing width and a maximum nine-inch offset. The concrete is reinforced with continuous bar dowels, rebar laps per schedule, and size-four dowels measuring five feet in length spaced at twelve inches on center with a three-quarter-inch clearance. A continuous three-eighths-inch bent plate is anchored at the edge with size-four deformed bar anchors measuring two feet six inches in length at twelve inches on center, along with a continuous size-four reinforcing bar. Bidder-designed steel stairs and connections attach to the bent plate and are supplied by the stair manufacturer.
