A concrete housekeeping pad is detailed over a concrete slab with a minimum thickness of four inches. Reinforcement consists of number four bars spaced at twelve inches on center each way within the pad. Perimeter dowels utilize number three bars at twelve inches on center with standard hooks and three inches of embedment. Two connection options are detailed for the pad to the supporting slab: a cast-in option featuring standard hooks at the bottom of the slab with minimum clear cover, and a post-installed option using drilled and epoxied dowels with a three-inch minimum embedment. An optional construction joint is indicated at the interface between the pad and the structural slab.
