A post-tensioned concrete slab and topping slab bear on a concrete basement wall. The connection incorporates two number four continuous dowels with standard hooks, along with number four dowels spaced at twelve inches on center. Waterproofing is specified per architectural requirements, and a screed is added to roughen the slab edge. A column and base plate are positioned on the post-tensioned slab per plan. Clear cover is maintained at one and one-half inches typical, with additional reinforcement sized per schedule.
