A tube strut is connected to the underside of a structural steel flange using a 1-1/2 inch by 1-1/2 inch by 12-gauge by 2-inch steel angle. The angle is anchored to the steel flange with a 0.157-inch diameter Hilti power-driven anchor providing a 1-inch embedment per ICC-ES report no. 2184. The tube strut is fastened to the angle using two number 10 by 2-inch sheet metal screws. The strut is placed tight to the clip or structure.
