A hollow structural section column secures to an existing concrete tilt-up panel using a four-inch wide L4x4x3/8 steel angle. Three-quarter-inch diameter by seven-inch long Hilti Kwik HUS-EZ anchors fasten the angle to the concrete panel, spaced twelve inches from each end and at twenty-four inches on center. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld, typical, connects the HSS column to the vertical leg of the angle. The column maintains a two-inch clearance from the face of the concrete panel.
