This assembly consists of a hollow structural section post supporting a wide-flange cantilever beam, which in turn carries a flue pipe support bracket. The HSS post is connected to the beam via a one-inch thick base plate, welded with 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch fillet welds. The wide-flange beam features 3/8-inch thick stiffener plates on each side, welded with 1/4-inch fillet welds on three sides. The connection between the HSS post and the beam flange is secured using four 5/8-inch diameter A325N bolts, with a minimum 1/2-inch clearance from the beam edge. The flue pipe support is mounted atop the wide-flange beam, with dimensions and pipe sizing determined by mechanical drawings.
